Rattlers hit the floor running

With the 2016 TOSLL season under way, the Rattlers have hit the floor twice already this season and find them selves sitting at 2-0 to start the year. The Rattlers come into this season with a strong group of returning players and the much needed addition of some new faces. The captain of the squad Mark Jurista only hopes that they are able to keep their roster intact for the entire season. In years past the Rattlers have had strong numbers out of the gate, but as University ends and summer begins they have lost several players to work and other commitments in previous years. The club strongly believes that if the team can keep finding ways to win guys will want to stick around.

Helping that cause and keeping the Rattlers on the winning track is the teams new head coach Andrew Bromley. Finally having found someone to fill this much needed position has brought immeasurable relief to the likes of Mark Jurista and AJ Lockwood as they can focus on just playing the game now and leave all the coaching duties behind. This is already evident in AJ's case as he netted 5 goals in the Rattlers win over Kelowna this past Friday. Andrew brings a ton of lacrosse experience with him along with a young fresh look on things. The team has responded well to having a new and unknown bench boss, something that they haven't had in over 5 seasons.

The Rattlers have a weekend off this week as the Kelowna Raiders will face off against the Armstrong Shamrocks on Friday in Kelowna. Kamloops will hit the floor again on Friday May 6th @ 8:00pm when they will once again battle the Kelowna Raiders while in search of their 3rd win of the season. Come down to Memorial Arena and get your fill of lacrosse action! Tickets are only $5 at the door.
